From the archival collection “American Memory.” The archives collection demonstrates how war, land acquisition, and major industries changed cultures and ethnic groups across the U.S. The archive is meant to construct a digital architecture that is cohesive and coherent – or rather, these are the ideas proposed by Carl Fleischhauer who directed the archive.
